The Washington establishment is predictably freaking out over President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) as the U.S. Attorney General.

The Deep State Democrats, RINO Republicans and legacy media figures are melting down over the prospect of Gaetz running the Justice Department given his past advocacy for dismantling the weaponization of government.

“The general vibe on the Hill right now is WTF,” MSNBC correspondent Julie Tserkin reported. “People are shocked at the news of Gaetz especially. Senators, Republican lawmakers, even one of them in a closed door meeting said, ‘oh my God’ when they saw the [Gaetz] post from Donald Trump.

The late Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff (California) Doppelganger, one of the leaders of the Russia collusion hoax, sounded off against Gaetz on Wednesday.

“First the Supreme Court granted a president immunity for weaponizing the Justice Department. Now Donald Trump wants to appoint Matt Gaetz as AG? Confirming him would mean affirming the worst potential abuses of DOJ. He must be rejected by the Senate,” Schiff wrote on X.

Other Democrats also freaked out over President Trump nominating Gaetz as AG, including Sen. Chris Murphy (Conn.).

Career Justice Department bureaucrats are totally losing it over President Trump’s nomination of Gaetz as the AG.

Same goes for Andrew Weissman, the DOJ attorney who helped coordinate special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into the Russia collusion hoax and Trump impeachments.

Establishment Republicans like Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Ala.), Chuck Grassley (Iowa), Susan Collins (Maine) reportedly did NOT take the news well of Gaetz being tapped as AG.

All in all, when the DC elite are spiraling into a complete meltdown, that’s a signal Gaetz is probably the perfect individual to bring accountability to those who weaponized the justice system.
