“The Prosecutors Will be Prosecuted”: Attorney General Nominee Pam Bondi Vows to ‘Clean Out the Deep State’
“The investigators will be investigated because the Deep State, last term for President Trump, they were hiding in the shadows, but now they have a spotlight on them, and they can all be investigated"

President Donald Trump’s nominee for former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi declared last year that if President Trump were to return to the White House, she would work to eliminate the “Deep State” from the U.S. Department of Justice and ensure accountability.
Her nomination as U.S. Attorney General by President Trump sends a clear signal: the Justice Department will undergo a seismic shift in its priorities, with a renewed focus on accountability for those who, Bondi says, have weaponized the justice system for political gain.
In 2023, Bondi didn’t mince words in her appearance on Fox News following President Trump’s fourth indictment.
“When Republicans take back the White House, you know what’s going to happen? The Department of Justice, the prosecutors will be prosecuted, the bad ones,” Bondi said.
“The investigators will be investigated because the Deep State, last term for President Trump, they were hiding in the shadows, but now they have a spotlight on them, and they can all be investigated.”

Bondi’s fiery rhetoric has long resonated with conservatives, particularly during moments of intense political scrutiny against President Trump.
From calling for the dissolution of the Justice Department’s investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election to branding President Trump’s first impeachment in 2019 as a “sham,” Bondi has consistently framed her arguments as a defense of justice against partisan overreach.
President Trump, in a Thursday evening statement, praised Bondi’s tough-on-crime record and her leadership as Florida’s Attorney General.
Bondi served on President Trump’s Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission during his first term, where she played a pivotal role in combating the fentanyl crisis.
President Trump’s glowing endorsement also came with a swipe at the Justice Department’s recent history.
“For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans – Not anymore. Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again. I have known Pam for many years — She is smart and tough, and is an AMERICA FIRST Fighter, who will do a terrific job as Attorney General!”
The incoming White House policy chief and longtime America First advocate Stephen Miller has also praised Bondi and said Bondi would crash the cartels and the Deep State.

“She is tough as nails. You want an AG who’s going to take down the cartels, take down the migrant gangs, who’s going to use the 70,000 law enforcement officers at DOJ to get rid of the foreign criminal enterprise in this country? That’s Pam Bondi.
This is the AG that is going to help President Trump deliver on his promise to liberate America,” Miller said.
